Re: No volume exists.
is it possible to relocate all of the disks into an existing operating second NAS104 (Ihave 2 units) and confirm the data is still okay?

Re: No volume exists.
The OS, array and data volume are on the disks. The problem would remain if moving to another chassis.
Your logs were very much incomplete. I wonder if the root volume is full.

Re: No volume exists.
Hi mdgm,
The attached are all the logs I have for this ReadyNAS unit. The System is asking to "create a new volume" but this is not accessible. I can access “format” but this would obviously delete all the data on any one of the disks.
Another screenshot is attached that shows :remove inactive volumes house the disk #1,2,3,4.
Seems I will have to trformat all disc and loose all the data, about 2TB 😞
I will continue toward on resolution for the day before I decide to reformat.

Re: No volume exists.
Looking at the complete set of logs this time, I can see
two of your disks are out of the data volume array. One has a non-zero current pending sector count.
It looks like this is a data recovery situation.
I didn't see a link to your thread in your email so it was harder to find your post. Please always include a link to your thread when sending in logs.

Re: No volume exists.
Thanks mdgm,
I am now performing a full "Test Disk" from the Boot Menu this have been going for quite some time due to the size of the drives, seems to be still happening. I will wait for this to be completed then try a reboot.
What is the process for " Data Recovery" if this fails?

Re: No volume exists.
The disk test won't fix anything. That just checks the health of your disks.
You'd open an online support case and support would explain the costs to you. I think the current pricing is about $200 USD for initial diagnostics (up to 1 hour work performed), but support could confirm.
