Noob needs help
Hi all, I am a moderately competent computer user, but I have been vexed by the newest ReadyNAS I added to my network. First of all, I built the newest NAS from an empty "cabinet?" and four-2 GB compatible hard drives, mounted them, and the unit powers on, but there are no shares!?!?! ReadyNAS frontview says "no share raids exist" and when I try to add shares it says "files" share still exists. or Media shares or backup. RAID settings says "5577 GB (100%) of 5577 GB used", X-RAID (Expandable RAID), 4 disks" !! Help! How do I get the shares to show up? I am running out of space on the first ReadyNAS. Also, could I plug this second NAS into the first NAS as expandable RAID, because that would be SWEET!

Re: Noob needs help
Is this newest unit an NV+ as well as your first?
What is the make and model of the 4 2TB drives you have installed? (You said GB, but I am sure it is TB. A common mistake - I've done it myself).
This is immediately after the unit doing the initial start up?
