Re: OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
You need to have changed the working directory to the directory in which you have the .deb files. It doesn't look like you've done this or one of the .deb files is missing from the directory. Alternatively unless there is a word-wrapping issue it looks like you entered the command over two lines not one.
e.g. if you want to put the .deb files on the "data" volume in a folder/share you have created called "mydownloads" you would do e.g.
Note using wget you can download the .deb files directly to the NAS. If you already have put the .deb files in this directory you can of course skip this step.

Re: OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
PlexPass can be obtained via subscription or via a one-off lifetime payment and would give you early access to newer builds still before they are available to the general public and the ability to do things like use PlexSync to sync files e.g. to an iPad to view while you are offline. You can read more about it here: https://my.plexapp.com/subscription/about
If the latest free build is working for you and you don't need any of the PlexPass features then that's fine, but it is an option if you want it.

Re: OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
Upgraged my Pro 6 firmware to 2.0 under OS6 but alas it has not fixed my backlight dimming timer problem. Strangely display inverse video flashing when holding the power button is now back.

Re: OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
I cannot restrict NFS access on a share folder to one hostname or more, just "anyhost" option works fine.
When I restrict access to one hostname or more, I receive on NFS client "mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting nasaddress😕foldername"
All is good on frontview menu, but nothing works (read, read/write, root access)
Does anyone know this problem ?

Put in the I.P. address(es) of the host(s) in the field not the hostname.

Thanks mdgm.... and sorry
Restrict share NFS access to one host works fine.
I use lxc with multiple bridges and I was expecting an other IP address from my container. My eyes must be closed when I checked yesterday with netstat

Pro2
running 6.0.7 .. upgraded manually from 6.0.6.
runs smoothly, reboot works fine, FAN speed corrected. APC UPS detected normally.
Only FAN rotations & CPU graph tell wrong numbers at 6.xx GUI.
thank you guys for nice custom build .. 😄

Re: OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
Has anybody experienced spontaneous volume rebuilds ? It happened to me this past weekend on my 6.0.6 Ultra 4 for no apparent reasons. It had been running fine for more than two weeks. It started at 00:57 Sunday night and completed successfully after about 7 hours.
My Ultra 4 is almost new with the stock RAM, 2 2tb WD Red drives (RAID1/XRAID) and an APC UPS. Going through the logs, I couldn't see anything explaining this. The volume is half full and there are no smart errors on any of the drives.
Any idea what could have caused this (bug, problem) ? Any tips on what too look for (logs, etc.) to diagnose this ?

Manualy installed OS 6.0.7 on Ultra 6 (check for updates not yet available). > Works fine, but same fan and temperature issues. Fan loud, GUI reports not correct. <
Multiple apps are default ready to download. Many of these were already available by apt-get. Are they Genie Apps ? ( ReadyNas Photos, Plexmedia Server, Piwigo, Wordpress, Transmission, Subsonic, Tiny tiny RSS, Ajaxplorer, joomla, Drupal, GLPI, htop, MySQL Server, PHPMyAdmin, PHP, Python, QbitTorrent Client, Shell in a Box, Subversion, VPN Server ). I've just checked htop. it works.

As reported you have to manually fix the fan within cli, worth every minute of your time though.

Yes, OS 6.x is very promising.
To monitor fan speed and temperature, you can use very easy fancontrol package http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=71155

yes, it is pretty easy .., allready done
the biggest problem was SSH access to CLI because i was forgot to log in as root 😄
i was try to log in as admin cca 20x times .. my fault 😄
btw. is there some way to tell to OS6x how many drives are allowed ? I have only Pro2, but OS show 4 drive bay 😄
also Pro is no more detected via Raidar, but .. this is not problem, now 🙂

Re: OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
Just to clarify, re: apt-upgrade. It certainly bricks 5.x. I cannot comment on 6.x but it wouldn't surprise me that as the OS develops, and if it again gets out of step with the main branch, that it may cause problems. But if others know better...

Whether it is safe depends on how well they pin stuff to tell apt what must not be updated. If you want to take the risk of doing an "apt-get upgrade" please backup your data first.
