Performance Struggling
My performance is terrible. Basically what I have at this point is an expensive Time Capsule and I'm not too happy about it.
Navigating the CIFS share through Finder takes a few seconds to simply list the files/folders in various directories, but they do eventually show up.
My initial goal was to store my iTunes on the ReadyNAS. I planned on managing iTunes over my LAN to the ReadyNAS, then using the iTunes server to stream to various devices on my network. iTunes performance is worse than using Finder to navigate as iTunes thinks files are missing due to the slowness. I'm open to suggestions but don't really want to throw a bunch more money at the problem if I am going to see marginal results.
RAIDiator version - 4.2.17
Performance tab settings - Enable write cache checked, Data Journaling unchecked
Network switch model (and firmware version) - D-Link DES 1105
NIC on your PC - Integrated Macbook Pro ethernet
Number of disks and disk models - Hitachi HCT721010SLA360 931 GB x4
The read/write MB/sec numbers from IOMeter or drag & drop test. - I only have Macs at home, could not run this test
