Question about 3TB drives.
Hi there,
I'm about to replace all my 1TB and I want 3TB drives. I'm able to choose between st3000vx000 vs st3000dm001.
I know neither of those drives is on HCL list but I've seen few people are running st3000dm001 without any problems.
I would prefer st3000vx000 since they are apparently suited for 24/7 http://www.seagate.com/internal-hard-dr ... T3000VX000
Any thoughts?

Re: Question about 3TB drives.
Can't help regarding your actual case... however I can say when I used a NV+ v2 I used drives on the HCL and I had all kinds of issues (NAS dropping offline - crashing). Trying to figure things out I later noticed the drives were removed from the HCL. After replacing them everything was great. After this I'd be hard pressed to use drives not on the HCL. Of which I think is beyond small compared to competitors' supported drives. Last time I looked one had 4 or 5 times the number of approved drives for most models...
