Hi Guys, I have a READYNAS NV+ v2 RND4000v2, firmware 5.3.13, that is currently running 4 x 4tb drives which are nearing capacity. Does anyone know if I can use 10tb drives in this system. If not what is the maximum drive capacity? Also can I upgrade this Readynas to OS 6 to facilitate larger drive sizes.

There are limits to the XRAID expansion on your model which create some practical issues with larger disks.
- Volumes cannot be expanded over 16 TiB
- Volumes cannot be expanded more than 8 TiB from their starting size.
These basically limit you to doing a factory install with the very large disks in place, and not being able to expand them later.
The best approach would be to get an OS 6 NAS, which doesn't have these limitations.
That said, I've seen one post here from someone who was able to get 6 TB disks to work (WD60EFRX), but I don't think I've seen anything larger than that in an v2 NAS.
