RN102: Since upgrade to 6.5.1 cannot access FrontView
I upgraded to 6.5.1 and although shares work, I cannot access the GUI frontview. the Raidar says that the unit is 'system starting up'
luckily I have SSH access, but that only helps if I knew what to do. Can I downgrade the firmware or restart remotely?
everything was fine with 6.5.0, sometimes I wonder why we upgrade when the system suggests to.

No. Worried about data loss.. Just did that, and it rebooted OK and I can access the Admin webpage.
Bit concerning though. My ReadyNas Duo has chugged along for 6 years and never skipped a beat (still going!). This for 2.5 years is Ok, but this latest update seems to have been the issue.
Is there a timeline for an update, or should I downgrade back to 6.5.0?

If the NAS is working now, then don't downgrade it.

You could send in your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig) if you wish though.

Stick with your current Firmware and send in your logs if you want us to have a look at your system. Also, can you recall the previous Firmware on your system before you update it to 6.5.1?

Logs sent per instructions. I was previously on 6.4.2 - thought it was 6.5.0, but I checked the logs and I was wrong

Which apps do you have installed?
I can see you've got SSH and have used that.
As for why you couldn't access the web admin page it looks like the relevant logs have already been rotated.

Apps: Transmission and the inbuilt DLNA server. Nothing else.
My ReadyNas is on an auto on/off schedule, so that might be why the logs have been cycled, although I was amazed at the quantity of logs produced when I exported them.
If it happens again, I'll post back.

We get logs that are useful for troubleshooting a wide range of problems. Sometimes a log that we may have thought wouldn't be relevant to a problem can turn out to have highly useful information.
