RN102 bricked

Was working fine, lost power now all I get is a blinking power light. No Gui or SSH. I can telnet to it. I have tried factory restore, reload OS through USB, nothing seems to be working. Just wondering if its dead or not? Drives had NO data on them..

Thanks for any help!

Re: RN102 bricked

What do you see in RAIDar?

Being able to telnet in would suggest that you've run into an error during the early stages of the boot process.

It shows everything, Model, name, serial, status, firmware(6.4.0), IP address, and mac address..

Thank you for the help!

Re: RN102 bricked

Do you get the same error with the disks installed?

If so, that would suggest either your disks are bad or there's a hardware issue with the chassis or external PSU.

Re: RN102 bricked

As you found after you clicked on the format button in RAIDar and confirm your choice the NAS wiped the disks and it has come up fine.

It's likely when the power failed the 4GB OS partition on the disks became out of sync. Anyway since you've wiped the disks there's no way to check now.

The OS is installed onto the disks.
