RN104 - Can it contain different sized disks?
I need to increase disk space on my NAS and have 4 1TB drives. Can I swap out just one drive with a larger one such as an 8 TB (one from the compatibility list). They are set up as X-RAID.
Thanks,
Model: RN104|ReadyNAS 100 Series 4- Bay

You need to swap out two drives to get a space increase. The capacity rule is "sum the disks and subtract the largest".
You hot-swap one disk, then wait for the resync to complete. Then hot-swap the second. Back up your files first, as you have no RAID protection while the system is rebuilding the RAID array.
