RN104 Drive not available
We're running the latest firmware 6.6.1 and no matter what we do we can not get our USB3 drives to mount.
They worked well up until the last few firmware releases, had to restart to get them to show/mount but now even that doesn't work.
Any ideas on a fix? Been a week now without any backups to USB, not good.

Re: RN104 Drive not available
Hello Concept4,
Do you get the same results on all USB ports of the NAS? Also what is the file system format of the USB drives?

Re: RN104 Drive not available
Hi
The drives are EXT4 I think, they've been working fine for the past year so I don't think it is them. After the latest firmware update we've not been able to get them to mount.
All of a sudden if I place the drive in the USB2 port and then move to the USB3 port it shows, but only the top back port and not the bottom back port.
Very weird. Will keep testing but whilst the drive is mounted I'll do a backup.
Thanks

Re: RN104 Drive not available
Yesterday I copied across a few folders from the NAS to the USB3 HDD.
I forgot to unhook the HDD before leaving for the day but was surprised to find the backup running when I returned to work this morning.
The backup is still running due to it being a clean backup.
Hopefully all is well in the land of Readynas.

Re: RN104 Drive not available
Unfortunately I got the same percpu error.
Over the weekend I tried a full backup via USB2 and again get the same error.
Struggling with this now.

Re: RN104 Drive not available
The unit has just had a mad half hour not recognising the USB drive again until I restarted.
All was great before the last few FW updates.
Please helppppp

Re: RN104 Drive not available
Hello Concept4,
Are you getting any error message? If so, what is the exact error?
Also, you have 3 USB ports, do you get the same results from all of them? How many USB drives are you using with it?

Re: RN104 Drive not available
Sorry I seem to have 2 threads going and they've crossed a little
The error during a backup is
percpu counter add+3c
I've got a different USB HDD plugged into to USB3 back bottom at the min with the backup due to start over night (UK).
Will update in the morning.
