RN104 - does it support UPS managed over USB?

RN104 - does it support UPS managed over USB?

I am thoroughly confused.  Does RN104 support UPS monitoring over USB?

ReadyNAS OS 6.4 Software Manual states:

"The ReadyNAS supports UPS devices managed over SNMP and UPS devices managed over a remote connection.
It does not support monitoring over USB."

ReadyNAS OS 6.6 Software Manual states:

"The ReadyNAS supports UPS devices managed over SNMP, USB, and over a remote connection."

Am I correct in assuming that the RN104 now accepts UPS with USB connection whereas it didn't before?  (which was not long ago).

I have yet to find a reasonably priced UPS supporting SNMP (i.e. under £100).  Most support USB though, so that seems the only route.

It always has supported UPS with USB connections - you found an error in the 6.4 manual which was corrected.

Thnaks StephenB for explaining that.  I'm not happy with NetGear though for not publishing the error somewhere where I'd find ir - e.g. an email.  My NAS is nearly a year old and has suffered at least a dozen power outages with no UPS because I couldn't find one that supported SNMP at a "normal" price.  I will now buy one that supports USB!
