RN314 and Rsync

Have an older RN314 that I'm looking to use as a backup device for another NAS.  The manufacturer of the other device wants to use Rsync.

Question:  Can this device handle Rsync and is there a minimum firmware version required?

ReadyNAS has always supported rsync

Also, all RN31x systems support the current OS 6 firmware.
