RN316 Disk status went from FAILED to RESYNC to ONLINE

Hello,

1.  I think all the data is backed up elsewhere!

2.  A replacement #2 HDD WD60EFRX is arriving tomorrow (was supposed to be today).

3.  What is curious is that the "failed" drive is now listed as "online".  Should I suspect the NAS unit itself or just replace the drive?

4.  Logs here: http://www.ascent-design.com/data/System_log-Ascent-RN316-20181023-125206.zip

Thanks much - Ralph

Please don't post your logs publicly, as there is some information in them that compromise your privacy.

Though your link appears to be bogus anyway.

Log files removed from link above.

What would you make of the HDD warnings?

I'm not sure what to make of it, but I wouldn't trust the disk at this point.

You might want to try running the disk test on the volume menu.  Maybe download the log zip file before and after the test, and look at the SMART stats in disk_info.log.

I already replaced it with a new HDD, but given the modest (1062) load cycle count am tempted to use the old drive for tertiary backups.  (See image from first post).

The current SMART stats look fine, but I would still run the disk test and and see if they still look good.
