RNDP6000 with OS6 hasn't been booted in a couple of years.
I want to recover data stored, but turning it on just shows the "ReadyNAS" logo. Is the boot bios battery dead or is there something else that I need to do?

MORE: Holding the reset button does nothing.

Re: RNDP6000 with OS6 hasn't been booted in a couple of years.
It could be a PSU failure (your symptoms are consistent with only 5 volts being operational).
Does it behave the same way you power up the NAS with no disks? Label the disks by slot as you remove them.

Yes. Same thing happens. All the fans and the lights are on, though.

Re: RNDP6000 with OS6 hasn't been booted in a couple of years.
Replacing the bios battery and re-seating the power connector on the motherboard allowed it to boot.
It shows the disks properly located and the the "Cannot connect discovery server" error is show. I don't remember what that means.
The ethernet cross-connect cable connected directly to my laptop shows busy lights on the NAS, but I can't connect to the NAS from my laptop.
Still trying. Will try a dfifferent cross-connect cable.
