Hi, I have a readynas NV+,with 4 HDDs of 2TB. Suddenly I couldn't access my files anymore. Did a reset but it hangs on booting. It also failed to get to the front page via Raidar. I bought a 2nd hand Readynas NV+, with 4 1TB. I put the 4x1TB HDD drives in my own Readynas NV+ and it works well. so the problem is not the readynas nv+ itself.
I put my own 4x2TB hdd in the bought 2nd hand readynas nv+. Now it's this one hanging with the same drives (my 4x2TB) on boot. How do I find out which disk is broken, or have I really lost everything. How do I find out, and is there anything to fix, all family videos and photos are on it, and more important information.

What kind of reset? A factory default (sometimes called factory reset) is destructive.
Can you connect the disks to a Windows PC (either with SATA or a USB adapter/dock)? If so, try testing them with vendor tools - Seatools for Seagate, WD's Dashboard for WDC. Run the long generic test on each (which will take a couple hours).
