Re: ReadyDLNA not working at all

I got ahold of this Netgear ReadyNAS 2100 and installed 4x 6TB drives into it. Then I upgraded the system to Raidiator 4.2.31 and did "factory default".

Finally, by utilizing Flex-Raid, I got it set up as 16TB RAID5 ( C: ) with precisely 16,273,912 MB for the volume size, plus a 477GB RAID0 ( 😧 ).

The "RootSSH" add-on seems to be working,

ssh 192.168.1.11 -l root (no problem.)

"Enable Fan Control" add-on seems to be working, although there's no control on the Frontview, but at least the fans aren't running full-blast any more.

"ReadyDLNA" add-on seems to be working when I first install it except there's no way to add a share or configure media streaming at all, plus it disappears when I reboot, as evidenced by:

http://192.168.1.11:8200/status/ (Unable to connect!)

I thought maybe I needed a share entitled "Media" or "media", but that didn't make any difference, so I deleted it.

Streaming services were disabled on the rackmount models because it was assumed most users wouldn't use it on those models.

Install this toggle add-on: http://www.readynas.com/download/addons/x86/4.2/ToggleStreamingServices_1.0-x86.bin

Installing it once will show Streaming Services in the web admin GUI. Installing it a second time will revert that change.

ReadyDLNA is a built-in streaming service, it is not an add-on. What are you installing and where did you find it?

No, I don't have that service unfortunately. Please see attached.

I had never seen that "Streaming Services" option which is why I did the add-on.

This is the download I got, was it a mistake? "x86 (Pro/NVX/Ultra/Ultra Plus): Latest ReadyDLNA Update Addon Package (1.1.4)"

Maybe this one never had the DLNA?

Huh! It says it worked, but it didn't? There's still no streaming service under the "Services" tab.

Try clearing your web browser cache or opening an incognito/private window or even try a different web browser. The web admin interface before the change could still be being cached.
