ReadyNAS 102 Communication Error when checking for Updates

My ReadyNAS 102 with Firmware 6.10.7 pops-up a Communication Error 6001010060, when Check for Updates. Any ideas?

@bpichany,

Welcome to the community!

Could you enable Secure Diagnostics mode on the NAS and PM me the 5-digit port number?

Re: ReadyNAS 102 Communication Error when checking for Updates

Same problem began only yesterday.  No changes to firmware and internet works fine otherwise?  Error message goes on to say: "Check internet connection, DNS settings, or proxy settings".

None of those things have changed in my system.

Looking forward to reply.

Re: ReadyNAS 102 Communication Error when checking for Updates

I have a ReadyNasRN31221D.

I'm also suddenly having the same error when attempting to check for updates. It was fine about 2 weeks ago.

Everything else is working fine except my ASUS router now won't let me set DNS unless I also set DDNS which I never needed to before!

Netgear responded here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/New-ReadyNAS-Users-General/DNS-error-message-6001010060-readycloud-...

They said they are working on it and will fix it ASAP.

Re: ReadyNAS 104 running 6.10.7 with the same problem that appeared in the last few days.

I'm running two units:  1) a 314  2) a 318----both 6.10.7.

Both are okay now. They now respond as they did before when clicking for a check of update, they send the message that my system is already running the most up to date.

All is as it should be. "Time" has resumed its shape.  🙂

Thank you.
