ReadyNAS 1100 randomly becomes inaccessible via the network

This has happened a time or two and I cannot find any rhyme or reason. You guys know this stuff so well I am sure something will jump out at you. I have a readynas 1100 running radiator 4.1.7. Things will be running along smoothly and suddenly we'll be unable to access frontview and also unable to access shares via our network. We can ping the device, but no response to smb requests, http requests, etc. Here is the system log from the most recent failure, which occurred at 9:12 AM today. My colleague rebooted it at 9:48 AM, thus the activity you see after that time as it came back up.

Re: ReadyNAS 1100 randomly becomes inaccessible via the netw

The issue happened to me again today. Below is the system log surrounding the outage time. This forum has always been helpful in the past...hopefully someone can help me out! Usually I get a response, this last time I posted I didn't. Please give me some advice. For the first 3 years this thing was rock stable...now, not so much. The outage occurred about 13:09 local time.

Re: ReadyNAS 1100 randomly becomes inaccessible via the netw

Try installing 4.2.18, (which is now 4.2.19 because its been pulled due to the fact that any AFP-enabled share will inadvertently obtain guest access), from readynas.com the "news and events" page. It's not the support page which is where you think you would find it, but no. Installed 4.2.18 and it seems to be working much better, no thanks to their support line.

a) That update has been pulled
b) It won't install on a Sparc ReadyNAS e.g. 1100. Sparc ReadyNAS e.g. the 1100, have Sparc hardware so they use Sparc firmware (RAIDiator 4.1.x).
