ReadyNAS 204 to Samsung BD-5900F

I am new to all of this stuff, but, I have purchased a 204 and would like to serve media to the Samsung blu-ray 5900F. The samsung communicates through wireless, but could go through ethernet.

Not sure what approach to use.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Connecting through ethernet is best but it does depend on what's practical.

Obviously for smartphones and tablets you have no choice but to use Wi-Fi. The less devices you have on Wi-Fi the better your experience with those devices will be.

In my experience ethernet is the best option for media players (assuming it is practical to run the cabling). If WiFi doesn't work well enough, then powerline is perhaps another option.

The number of devices connected doesn't matter, but the number of devices simultaneously using the network certainly matters. If the player is too far from the access point, that will also kill performance.
