ReadyNAS 2120 OS6 login issues
Very new here and new to the ReadyNAS. After booting up and going through the setup and changing the password, it logged me out and every time I attempted to login with the admin user and new password it kept just resetting the login screen and prompting me to login. So, I believe I have now started the factory reset and now RAIDar shows "Testing Disks". Any idea how long this will take? Its been going for about 30 minutes so far. Or have I not performed the reset correctly? After powering off via the power switch, I held in the reset button and pushed the power button. Then used the reset to switch until LAN1 and the Power Button were the only lights on. Then the red lights on the drives began their blinking and RAIDar shows testing disks.. Am I in for a long wait? If so, I will just let it go and pick up in the morning. The fact still remains that after setting the admin password during setup, it would not allow me to login. Firewall is off on my Windows 7 Pro machine. This is so frustrating because this is a new NAS fresh out of the box. I tried the password recovery via web browser before the reset, but it would not reset it. I didn't setup the email server as it won't be using one. If it needs an email server setup for password recovery, thats going to be a problem.
Any insight or help is greatly appreciated.

Did you follow these instructions?: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/23454
To reset the admin password you could just do an OS Re-install. This would reset the admin password but leave data intact.

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 OS6 login issues
If this is a new purchase, you are entitled to 90 phone support as well, so keep that option in mind.
On password recovery, you don't need an email server on the NAS. A gmail address for instance works fine. I strongly recommend configuring email alerts - getting warnings when the disks degrade or backups fail is definitely a good thing.
