ReadyNAS 2120: firmware upgrade to 6.6.0 caused Active Directory issue

The firmware on our ReadyNAS 2120 was upgraded from 6.4.2 to 6.6.0 two days ago. We use Active Directory authentication for all user accounts, and it has worked for years normally in that mode. Since the upgrade, however, there have been intermittent issues. According to the release notes at http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31221?cid=wmt_netgear_organic an upgrade from v6.4.2 to 6.6.0 should work, so I'm not sure what's causing the problems.
Every morning, a portion of users can't login to the NAS. They're given an "Access Denied" error, and re-entering their Active Directory credentials doesn't resolve it. At the same time, other users can login normally.
The only global fix I've found is to restart our Active Directory servers, after which all users can login normally until the following day. The issue then repeats the next morning, usually affecting different users than who had it the previous day. This looks as if the NAS isn't getting credentails for cerain users.
Here is what I've tried during the problems:
- Going to Accounts -> Authentication and clicking on "Refresh ADS Accounts". It imports accounts normally and gives a success message, and there's nothing in the logs that suggest a problem getting credentials
- Verifying folder permissions. All share permissions are normal on both the NAS and when checked from an AD server
- Checking user accounts in the Accounts -> Users section. All AD users are listed, including the ones who can't access the NAS
Given the old firmware 6.4.2 worked perfectly, I'm tempted to downgrade. But, from reading on the forum here I see that doing so can be dangerous. Please let me know what other options we have to fix this, thanks!

Hello Mantaro,
Welcome to the community!
I have not heard anyone reporting AD connection issue with the new firmware version yet. However, I think the issue you are getting may need to be checked with a support person who can remote in. I suggest you contact support team since it appears you have lifetime CHAT support for your ReadyNAS 2120.
Regards,
