ReadyNAS 2120 v6.4.0 - command line changes saved during firmware upgrade
If I make changes to the system via SSH (for example, add packages w/apt-get, create cron jobs, or modify running service config files like Samba's /etc/samba/smb.conf, etc.), will these changes carry over when I upgrade firmware, or will they be wiped out?

If a file is in the firmware it will be overwritten.
There is a samba overrides file you can create to override the default samba config.
