ReadyNAS 314 (v6.1.8) & LDAP
Hi
I've noticed there is a LDAP add-on for readynas, but I cannot find any documentation about it. I don't really want to install/enable on my live (and only box), until I understand more about it.
Does anyone have any links to documentation for this add-on?
Yours
Jonathan

Do you have active directory and want to authenticate users via ldap rather than creating local accounts?

Re: ReadyNAS 314 (v6.1.8) & LDAP
Ni, I'm a home user and don't have AD. I was under the impression that LDAP would allow me to set-up my users on NAS instead of having to then create them on all PCs each time a PC changes or is replaced.

This could be done (and is AD), but frankly it would be much easier to add the needed NAS credentials to the new PCs.

How many users are you planning to set up?

...and there is no longer an LDAP app....
I was hoping to kick an aging AD server to the curb...but now with no LDAP support, this is a boat anchor.
...enabling SSH and doing some reading...will figure out how to do it without their idiot interface...
Might look for WebAdmin also.
