ReadyNAS 316 firmware update 6.1.5 -> 6.1.6
I can no longer reach the local admin page, after updating the firmware (6.1.5 -> 6.1.6) on my ReadyNAS 316.
"http://readycloud.netgear.com/" could find the ReadyNAS, but "connection failed" when clicking the "manage" button.
RAIDar could find the ReadyNAS, but "connection failed" when clicking the "configuration" button.
SMB access works fine, just as ftp access.
I already tried an OS reinstall reboot - nothing changed.
Has anyone got a clue?

Re: ReadyNAS 316 firmware update 6.1.5 -> 6.1.6
What happens when you try https://ipaddressofnas/admin?
Clear the browser cache, try a different browser.
Have you reinstalled the firmware ( not an OS reinstall)?
When you did the OS reinstall your network settings and admin password would have been reset to default, I suspect you know this.

I have already tried 3 different (firefox, ie, safari).

Yes, I know.

I would like to do this (or even install 6.1.5.), but how can you, without reaching the local admin page?

Have you enabled SSH access?

Did you remember to attempt connecting to SSH as the root user?

Yes, but that should not matter. Even if you would use the wrong user, there should be an error message, something like "Invalid Username or Password".

Re: ReadyNAS 316 firmware update 6.1.5 -> 6.1.6
Netgear Support fixed the problem via remote access. The problem was caused by a bug in the ReadyNAS Photo app.

Re: ReadyNAS 316 firmware update 6.1.5 -> 6.1.6
Hello,
I have the same problem: I can no longer reach the local admin page, after updating the firmware (6.1.5 -> 6.1.6) on my ReadyNAS 316.
The other ways to access works fine (SMB, FTP, ...), but I cannot change the configuration of the system (auto-off times, etc.).
May I upgrade the firmware directly from an pendrive, without using the local admin page? Exist a new versión, 6.1.7
Does anybody have the solution?

Finally I can access from an old windows 98 system and upgrade to the 6.1.7 fw versión. I still cannot access from windows 7 (nor iExplorer nor Chrome), but I can do it from Vista and W98.
I'm still waiting for the response of support.

The answer from support is:
Netgear Support wrote:
"We have been informed of a problem occurred with the latest version of GoogleChrome where a file of this browser prevents access to the configuration page of our ReadyNAS products. Therefore, NETGEAR as Google have already taken steps to address this problem.
Two solutions indicated that both NETGEAR as Google have taken:
1-How first solution NETGEAR has released an update which solves the problem created with the new version of GoogleChrome which can be downloaded from this link:
http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=154&t=72282
2-As a second solution GoogleChrome has also arranged on your own site a link to download the beta version of GoogleChrome 35 which also solves the problem."
Maybe can help you if this problem appears....

Re: ReadyNAS 316 firmware update 6.1.5 -> 6.1.6
There have been a lot of posts on the Chrome bug on several threads - both for OS6 and the V2 Arm systems.
Not sure how you missed them,
