ReadyNAS 4 Bay #4XK379EE0010D password recovery doesn't work
I have followed every password recovery protocol, but no luck. Recovery question was Mother's maiden name, which I supplied but it still didn't work. I couldn't turn it off properly, so I unplugged, then rebooted. The IP address shows in the window, but I can't access the drive by IP address or through our LAN in the usual fashion. PLEASE HELP! Thank you! John

The serial number might help the mods, but this is a user-to-user forum.
What NAS model do you own? NV+, NVX, Ultra, Pro, RN104, ...
One way to reset the password is to so an OS reinstall from the boot menu. But exactly how to do that depends on what NAS model you have.

Hi @Porschephile1,
Looks like you have a RN424, kindly refer to this KB article on how to perform an OS Reinstall.

Note this will
- reset the admin password to password
- reset the network config to use DHCP with no bonding
- disable volume quota (can be enabled on the volume settings wheel).
