ReadyNAS 426 display 180 degrees rotated

Hi All,

My ReadyNAS 426 display characters are 180 degrees rotated (everything reads upside down), this is very odd - came out of nowhere. Could anyone please advise how to fix this?

I've rebooted and turned off for extended periods, problems doesnt go away. NAS is functioning perfectly fine, no errors on admin page. Filmware is 6.9.4 hotfix 1.

Thanks.

Cheers.

HI @Mr_Wonka

Welcome to the Community!

Is this the one only getting the rotated display? Can you post a screenshot? Have you tried closing the browser and reloading the admin page?

Regards

Hi @Mr_Wonka, just to exlude the obvious: You are sure, that nobody turned your nas upside down?

Don't feel bothered, just pulling your leg 🙂 I hope there will be a solution for you soon.

Merry x-mas and kind regards

mate, this is the little (2 line) LCD display on the NAS itself.

HI @Mr_Wonka

My bad, I thought it's the admin page.

Can you try updating it again to 6.9.5, this might help resolved the issue.

Happy Holidays!

I end up changing the fan control to "Cool" instead of "Balanced" and it fixed the problem. Been a while now and the issue never returned - I'm in central Queensland - Australia.

Obviously a Southern hemisphere problem,  Smiley Wink

The NAS does run something that looks for the display (I forget the name), and I suppose it could have gotten the wrong information.  Perhaps on some unit types, the display is upside down to the way it's in the 426, and it somehow identified it wrong.
