ReadyNAS 4312 running out of space; free space only slightly increased after deleting data
Free space of 115TB was down to 15TB. It's currently storing backups from Veeam on a LUN connected to my Hyper-V cluster. I deleted at least 15TB of backups so this should have left me with 30TB of free space - but that hasn't happened.
I've since run a defrag as well as balance and can now see 20TB of free space - instead of 30TB. No snapshots are stored/enabled so I know that's not a factor. How can i regain the extra 10TB of free space?

The defrag might have hurt (not helped). Though the usual scenario where it hurts is with snapshots.

Unfortunately, all I can think of is to delete a few more backups, and re-balance?

Really @StephenB ? A defrag may make things worse??? That's very counterintuitive...
I've deleted more data; I'll run the balance again and see if that improves the free space...
