ReadyNAS Duo V2 - Offline Dashboard

Hello.

I am new to this Forum.
I bought a ReadyNASRND2210v2 on May 8 - 2012, and this weekend i got the Dashboard OFFline problem.

I can access all shares, and it seems, that there is no problem, with the disk's.
I used hours, and hours - copying all my 200Cd's, and ~25DVD's onto the disk's, so i would be very unhappy to make a Factory reset!
I made some miner changes, in share options, before this happend, but i am unsure what the problem is ???
I am not able to download logs.
I am not able to install the newest Firmware, cause Dashboard seems corrupted.

I have been reading aroud this problem, which seems to occour for a lot of users, so i have the following quistions ! ::

1. Can i install new firmware / OS, with "SSH" ?

2. Does anyone know, what the problem is ?

Thanks in advance - Jesper.

Re: ReadyNAS Duo V2 - Offline Dashboard

1. Yes. First make sure you have a Duo v2 (runs RAIDiator 5.3.x):

# cat /var/log/raidiator_version

Then update

# cd /tmp
# wget http://www.readynas.com/download/RAIDiator-arm/5.3.6/RAIDiator-arm-5.3.6
# echo /tmp/RAIDiator-arm-5.3.6 > /.cf_update_in_progress
# reboot

2. To do that some logs would need to be checked. Fortunately you can check some of these via SSH. Please post output of the following

# df -h
# tail /var/log/frontview/error.log
# cat /etc/default/services
# cat /etc/frontview/addons/addons.conf

Re: ReadyNAS Duo V2 - Offline Dashboard

Probably better to discuss the Remote issues in the ReadyNAS Remote forum: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=75
