My Duo v2 has stopped running backups from my local Windows PC. I have inputted the correct host name, but then if I input the path e.g. backup without a / it fails to work, but says successfully connected to <localpcname>//backup, but then when I run the backup it fails.
Any ideas anyone please? I have tried updating the firmware & have reset it factory defaults twice, but still not working.

If you are running Windows 10, then you should go into "turn windows features on or off" and make sure the SMB/CIFS 1.0 server is installed.
Guest access is something that Microsoft is starting to lock down, so you might also need to specify the windows logon/password in the backup job.
A work-around approach is to install a backup tool on the PC that uses a NAS share as a destination.

The share name is w$ an adminstrative share, which strangely worked last week, but now has stopped. I specify the username and password also. Tried installing SMP Server, without success.
It seems that the path field will not work without putting a / in first.

The v2 firmware hasn't changed for years now, so this must be something on the Windows side. Do you need to use an administrative share (instead of a regular share)?
If you are using the hostname of the PC, you could also try switching to it's IP address.

If I understood you correctly, the backup also fails with the /. Am I correct on that?
