ReadyNAS Duo disappears intermittently
Hi,
I'm running my first generation ReadyNAS DUO for Timemachine backups and it work quite well in general. But occasionally the ReadyNAS is not accessible anymore and it seems to happen more often theses days. It is not mounted in Finder, RAIDar can't find it, I can't access it from the browser and of course, the backups are not made. The ReadyNAS widget claims the device is working properly though. I can see no pattern when the ReadyNAS goes away, but a hunch is that it sometimes happens after the Mac has been asleep.
I can't tell which fw version I'm running as It is not accessible for the moment, but I did a fw update in November last year. The Mac is running Mountain Lion. An ideas?

Re: ReadyNAS Duo disappears intermittently
Hi Mala,
Do you have flow control enabled on the switch your NAS is connected to ? Download all the logs and check the process.log. Check the memory being used, if this is too high then it might be worth disabling some add-ons. If you can't access the frontview then do an OS reinstall as per this link. http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... _boot_menu. Everything should work much faster after doing this, if you still having an issue after doing these steps log a case online. https://my.netgear.com/registration/login.aspx
