ReadyNAS NV+ isn't available at all (although it has a fixed IP)
Dear Community,
Please help me with an "old" NV+ that I'm struggling with. It contains archived company data in RAID.
The issue is that it's not available on the network at all for a while. Actually its fixed IP responses to ping, but I cannot open it in the browser and I'm not aware of any other way to manage it as RAIDar is not available for download from NETGEAR's site. (Admins, if you read this, please check the download link.)
It started with being really-really slow in Windows Explorer. Then a power outage happened and it never came back alive.
I welcome any suggestions. ..or a working hyperlink to RAIDar's actual version. 🙂
Kind regards,
Daniel

RAIDar 4.3.8 for Windows is here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ReadyNAS/RAIDar_Win_4_3_8.exe But if you can't access https://nasipaddress/admin then it won't help you manage the NAS.
This sounds like a full OS partition. You can try contacting Netgear support (Ask for per-incident support). If it is a full OS partition, it is something they can easily fix remotely.

Thank you for your quick answer - I managed to run this version of RAIDar and it shows my device.
Anyway I'm a bit afraid. Volume status column is showing "Resync 31% complete" for hours, and "Time to finish" value hasn't decreased from "7 h 9 mins".
"File system check" completeness is increasing very slowly, currently it's 25% and it hasn't changed for an hour. Is it normal behaviour after a power cycle?

That is a bit scary.
You could contact netgear (as suggested earlier), though it might lead to a more expensive data recovery contract.
You could also power down, and boot up using "skip volume check" - see pages 23-24 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RND2110/Duov1_NV+v1_HW_en_06Dec11.pdf Then immediately back up whatever data is there (hopefull all of it).
It is possible to mount the volume on an x86 linux system - are you conversant with linux?
