ReadyNAS NV+ v2 & External USB Drive

Good day & thanks for reading my post. This past weekend I purchased & installed a ReadyNAS NV+ v2 with 2 3TB Seagate HDDs. It took me a while to figure it out and decide upon an architecture. I selected one volume with .X-Raid 2. So far, so good.

I have also attached an external USB 3.0 drive. The drive is currently formatted ext3, but I want to delete the current shares, create new shares and format. The problem is I can't find where/how to do this. I see from many posts folks mention "Frontview", but I am not sure what that is. I am logged in as "admin" and I can view the "Dashboard"

When I boot the APP "Raidar" I get to a page with a "configure" option, but I cant figure out what to do.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: ReadyNAS NV+ v2 & External USB Drive

The Dashboard is the replacement for Frontview.

Take a look at the Software Manual: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20683

thank you for your reply. I have read the manual, and while it does provide detailed instructions on Volumes & Shares (for the NAS). it says very little about USB (page 71)
