ReadyNAS OS 6.2.0 Upgrade Issues
Hi all,
I have read that there are a few issues with this upgrade usually caused by various problems, I believe I had a power issue that has now had the effect of:
Not able to power down.
Disks (Three Volumes ) not showing on the front panel as live.
Drop out from network on all devices, shows in Admin Page "Device has diconnected"
The only way I can reboot is to disconnect the power source.
Is it possible to manually reinstall the upgrade from the .img file that I have managed to download?
Thanks
Jim

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6.2.0 Upgrade Issues
You are using three RAID-0 volumes. We don't recommend using RAID-0. If a disk fails all the data on the RAID-0 volume using that disk is lost.
Do you have a backup?
One of your volumes is very full.

HI mdgm,
Logs have been sent:
These disks contain all my media, docs are in the cloud so I do have nearly all on backup drives.
Volumes are RAID 1
&
JBOD
How do I past a screen shot onto these for you?
Jim

Some sites you can upload images too will provide you with forum code that you can paste on forums such as this one.

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6.2.0 Upgrade Issues
I have just tried to manual install firmware using:
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26042
This just hung on the reboot!
Should I try this:

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6.2.0 Upgrade Issues
Thanks,
I have updated to 6.2.1 (needed to unplug to reboot) seems stable for the moment with all 4 disks showing in the LED front panel now, access via browser and finder all quicker and also on various networked devices (TV, DVD Etc).
Will wait and see if it drops out as previous.
Thanks again.

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6.2.0 Upgrade Issues
Did a reboot this morning, just got home, no Browser access or LED front menu.
Have access through finder to directories.
This is getting rather frustrating!
Don't what the next step is?

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6.2.0 Upgrade Issues
Have my Admin page back (new IP threw me).
Only issue now is now front LED display, I can restart / boot okay from Admin Page so I suppose thats all I can hope fr at the moment until a real fix is ready.
