ReadyNAS Pro 4 (RNDP4000-100EUS) - current 4x2TB (8TB), want to go to 4x4TB (16TB) - possible?

Quick question that hopefully someone will be able to help me with... I've had a ReadyNAS Pro 4 for a while now, and currently have 4 x 2TB drives in it for a total of 8TB storage (~5.3TB actual in RAID 5).

I would like to upgrade to 4 x 4TB drives.  I'm aware of the 16TB expansion limit and max 8TB online expansion but the kicker is that I honestly can't remember whether or not I started with 4 x 2TB drives, or whether I have already expanded the array in the past.

Is there any way of finding this information out before I purchase the drives - either in the GUI or via SSH?  I don't currently have anything large enough to back the entire contents of the array onto.

Thanks in advance. 🙂

Download the log zip file and look in expansion.log - it might go back far enough.

Though my main advice is to get backup drives as part of the upgrade Smiley Wink
