ReadyNAS Pro 6 - This connection has not been restored
ReadyNAS Pro 6 with RAIDiator 4.2.19 / 6 drives using X-RAID2
I started to due a stress test on this new unit today by starting a copy/transfer from the NAS to 6 local machines (all WIN7 SP1 64bit). I mapped a drive to a share on the NAS where the test data is located. All drives mapped fine. I did notice on two machines I started getting a Windows Explorer hang if I opened a test directory and then backed out of it. Explorer spins for a solid minute and then I get an error message:
An error occurred while reconnecting X: to \\nas2\data
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored.
I was able to start the 4 machines running the copy test job and they all finished but shortly after they have started giving me the same issues and worse yet I'm starting to think that test directory got corrupted - I'm still trying to get one of the machines to access the folders containing the test data (I can browse up to those folders but as soon as I try to open one I get the error).
Any help?
I have turned off all streaming services on the ReadyNas

Do you still get the issue on 4.2.20-T40?: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=57193

Re: ReadyNAS Pro 6 - This connection has not been restored
I manually updated to 4.2.20-T40 and I still got the issue.
I thought it was strange that it was only happening on two of the six test machines so I took a closer look at the NIC drivers and found an update (ver 7.49.927.2011) to the onboard Realtek 8111E (both were MSI motherboards) and installed that and BINGO! the problem went away. Hope someone else finds this helpful.
