ReadyNas Duo can not reinstall any firmware (wrong checksum)
Hello,
I may have dabbled a bit too much with the Debian distribution on my ReadyNas Duo (one day for no reason I did an apt-get upgrade). Installed some things, tried to get the NAS to act as VPN server, all kinds of things.
Now, I can still SSH to it, mount and use the shares and Timemachine properly.
However, any firmware update first says the image is valid, then when I click to proceed to upgrade, I get an alert message saying the checksum is wrong. :?
This has happened at every new firmware version since 4.1.5, so I am stuck to 4.1.5 (which I can not even reinstall).
Is there any way to somehow force the upgrade or force the reinstall of 4.1.5 without going through factory reset? 😞

An apt-get upgrade is really going to mess up a system.
You really should backup all data and do a factory reset.
Even if you can re-install or update the firmware via SSH that's unlikely to get your NAS back into a good condition.
