ReadyNas RN102 Problems

Hi Everyone

Recently Ive had a few problems with my readynas showing on my smart tv, Struggle to log in as well with readycloud showing offline, Seems to log in ok with raidar but not all the time. I have reinstalled the firmware a couple of time but seems to be loosing settings like DNLA, somtimes when you log in it is unticked. Its running 6.5.1 can I roll it back to a previous version see if that helps ?

Thanks

Craig

Re: ReadyNas RN102 Problems

Hi dobbsy,

Try disabling the DLNA completely from your system and re-enable it after reboot. Once done, configure the DLNA service on your ReadyNAS shares where you stored your media files. With regard to your ReadyCLOUD issue, have you merged your ReadyCLOUD account with your myNETGEAR account?

Looking forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Untitled.pngHi

Thanks for the reply.

Ive taken the nas to work and swopped it over with one from work just to eliminate any network issues and seems to be the same here, Slow to log in and respond and seems to loose connection when making setting changes.

I have merged my Readcloud account.

Seems like the unit is running very slowly, I am also on a gigbit network as well.

Screen shot above was after restarting the nas after disabling DNLA , All lights are lite on the NAS but unresponsive

Re: ReadyNas RN102 Problems

Any Idea's on how I can fix it ? I thinking about doing a factory reset, can I remove both my drives and then reset it ? Have about 3TB of info on them.

Thanks

A factory reset will destroy the data (the operating system is on the disks).  So you'll need to make a backup pof the data.

Ah ok, Will back-up everything to an external drive. Hopefully a factory reset will solve it but honestly dont know what has happened to the drive.

Hi dobbsy,

Thanks for your feedback. Have you setup your system again after initiating a factory default through boot menu?

Re: ReadyNas RN102 Problems

Hi

I have restored it to factory settings, now works fine, may have been a glitch when updating to the latest firmware,

Thanks
