ReadyTIER
I want to set up the ReadyTIER feature, but I have read 2 different requirements in 2 different manuals:
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_FlexRAID_Optimization_Guide.pdf
This manual states (p10) - The number of SSDs for the SSD tier should be equal to the number of drives in the RAID group.
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/READYNAS_OS_6_SM_EN.pdf
This manual states (p42) - You can use ReadyTIER to add SSD drives to an existing volume as a tier. ReadyNAS OS automatically

Re: ReadyTIER
This will need to be a configurable option, but the following will be the default configuration:(Please see the attachment).

Re: ReadyTIER
yxue,
Is this unreleased information? Both manuals said that striped volumes couldn't use ReadyTier? Such as RAID50 and RAID60...
Which brings up another question. Is it still required to use Flex-RAID mode to use ReadyTier?
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_FlexRAID_Optimization_Guide.pdf
(p10)
Requirements for ReadyTier:
1. The ReadyNAS is running 6.9.0 and above.
2. The ReadyNAS must be in Flex-RAID mode and not X-RAID.
3. If there is more than one RAID group in the volume, then the volume must be a concatenated volume.
(You cannot add a tier to a striped volume)
4. The number of SSDs for the SSD tier should be equal to the number of drives in the RAID group.
