Readynas 314 Please remove inactive volumes Disk #1,2,3,4

I've been looking at others people issuess and found no fix, I've booted it into read only mode, still same issues. My phone support ran out years ago. It's been running slow the past few months.

ReadyNASOS version=6.9.4

arch=x86_64

had a look at the logs,

Have you looked at the SMART stats for all four drives?

I wish I could, but it's very possible that you have.

You could contact Netgear paid support.  They might be able to mount your volume w/o data recovery. But if data recovery is needed, the terms are here: https://kb.netgear.com/69/ReadyNAS-Data-Recovery-Diagnostics-Scope-of-Service

Several folks have also reported success using ReclaiMe ( https://www.reclaime.com/ ).

Unfortunately data recovery is always uncertain, and generally expensive.  The only way to ensure that your data is safe is to back it up to other devices.  RAID alone is simply not enough.

If you purchased between 1 June 2014 and 31 May 2016, then you do have lifetime chat support.  That's likely not enough to fix your issue, but I think it's still worth a try.

Thank you for the reply!

I've download ReclaiMe, I'll plug the HDD into the pc later today. Sady I don't have chat support, only hardware.

4 Years of data, I thought it was safe to back it up to netgear readynas 312, I used to own the 10200.

Would it be just the HDD and/or the 312, new HDDS would work in the unit?

The thing about that error message is that it doesn't tell you what caused it. It only tells you the symptom. So you could have 10 people get that error message and have 10 different causes of the problem.
