Readynas 316 - No Volume Exists after suspected HDD crash
Hi,
I have a Detected high uncorrectable Error Count on disk 6.
The disk had an error on the log about 4 months ago with increasing pending sector count, after about a week the increasing pending sector count error disapeared and disk were working correctly.
I have not looked at the logs for the last few weeks, i did a reboot on the device and now there is an error stating that no volume exist. The NAS had 4 hard drives running raid 5, the volumes were about 68% capacity.
In hindsight i should have replaced the defective hard drive when error first happened. I don't want to go and just swap out the faulty drive at this time.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
This is a screen shot of the volumes page

Re: Readynas 316 - No Volume Exists after suspected HDD crash
Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply.
No back up as this is the back up device.
The logs say only 1 one disk has the issue, all others ok.
Should i try to restart the NAS and see if the volume is detected?
The blue light next to the disks are all solid on the good drives and flashing on the failed one.

Can you post the health info? Either disk_info.log or smart_history.log should work.

Re: Readynas 316 - No Volume Exists after suspected HDD crash
So it does look like it's only a single disk problem. So it's odd that the volume is gone. Perhaps wait for @mdgm-ntgr to reply on next steps.
