Readynas 3200 firmware to 6.9.0

I have a ReadyNAS 3200 RN12P0000 with 12HDDx2Tb, installed version 4.2.31.  Can I install os 6.9.0 and how to do it correctly if possible?

And what drives are better to use, and then with theseSeagate ST2000DM001-9YN164 constantly problems?

You can, and instructions are outlined here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/Ultra-6-OS-Upgrade-from-4-2-30-to-OS-6/m-p/1181...

In my opinion, you should be using enterprise-class drives in a 12-bay NAS.  For instance WDC Red Pro, WDC Gold, or Seagate Ironwolf Pro.
