ReadynasDUO doesn´t show up anymore, Status LED flashing
Hi guys,
I have a problem with the first gen Duo with 2 x 2TB drives, latest non-beta firmware installed. Running power-off schedule each weekday. Nothing spectacular so far.
Some days ago it started not to boot up properly anymore. This means: starting proces seems normal, but it never show up in Raidar, the blue led is pulsing in the first 1-2 minutes and stays constant after this. The drives LEDs finally every time constant. But the "status" LED between them is is flashing non-rythmic infinitly and i can hear drive activity the whole time. This never stops and the NAS never show up anywhere. No access.
Started with OS-Reinstalls 3 times nut no change. I don´t want to loose the data on it. So my question: What to do?
It seems the OS is still working somehow cause the power off schedule is running in time still.
cheers
YNK

Probably the first thing to do is back up the data. If you turn off the Duo, and hook up disk 1 to a PC, then this tool should let you access it: http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/

ReadynasDUO doesn´t show up anymore--Support ticket
To Mr You Never know,
What a nickname !
Can you
(a) Access data, (b) Frontview.?
(c) What does RAIDar tell you?
(d) Can you download System logs.
(e) Can you post an online ticket .
https://my.netgear.com/Registration/Login_RightNow.aspx
You can attach the NAS system logs to the portal.
Status>> Logs >> Download all logs.
If necessary, Level 3 may need remote access later.
Regards Marto

Re: ReadynasDUO doesn´t show up anymore, Status LED flashing
unfortunately there´s no access via RAIDar and no logs to download.
Strange enough the afp share appears at the beginning in OS X. When i click on it the connection fails after a while and the share disappears until I restart the DUO. Thats the only think it does.
thanks for the input.
