RealdyDLNA "unsuccessful getting details for" a file
Hi
First post, pls excuse any ignorance.
I have a ReadyNAS NV+ V2 running Radiator 5.3.5 and ReadyDLNA 1.0.24.4
(I purposely downgraded from 5.3.6 to try to fix the following problem)
I have a folder in a media share with 8 flash videos
I am trying to play them on a Samsung TV with Allshare, and only 4 of the 8 are visible. The visible ones play fine
After a lot of googling to work out what was going on, I took a look at the the upnp-av.log and noticed that for each of the 4 missing files there is an entry like this
"[2012/10/24 14:11:52] scanner.c:499: warn: Unsuccessful getting details for /c/media/Videos/short vids/file IV.flv!"
It has no problems with a file in the same place called "file III.flv"
I can play both file IV.flv and file III.flv from the NAS on VLC on my laptop.
I can't work out why one of two files which seem identical in every respect is seen and indexed, and the other is rejected. What "details" is the indexer looking for? Changing the file name doesn't help.
Anyone know how to fix this.

Re: RealdyDLNA "unsuccessful getting details for" a file
OK - so it occurred to me that even though the FLV files were all from the same source, I should check the codecs. Sure enough the ones that were causing problems had an unusual codec I hadn't seen before - ON2's VP6.2 (VP6F)
VLC could deal with it but ffmpeg didn't recognise it.
