Really weird access problem. Need credentials while on AD..
Okay so I unplugged my switch to reboot it because I was getting 1.85MB p/s transfer speeds. And, upon the reboot of the unmanaged switch, I now needed to enter my network credentials to access the share! I upgraded the firmware to the latest thinking that would help but nope. I can access the share from some of the other computers in the network.
I can use Raidar to manage the NAS. I can only access the shares if I allow a guest.
The error message is:
\\{whatever}\{sharename} is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.....
Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.
I've rejoined the NAS to the domain but no luck. One computer was able to access the NAS after manually entering the login and password but that doesn't work for all of them. I'm kind of stumped. There are only 2 admin users and 6 computers on network.

What level of AD are you using?
What version of Windows on the PCs?
Which NAS are you using? Are you using your NV or your Pro or a different ReadyNAS?
What is the firmware version on the NAS?

I'm using SBS2003. Not sure if that answers your question.
Windows 8.1 Enterprise and a Windows XP computer get access is denied, but the Windows 7 PCs can connect.
I only have this issue with the ReadyNAS NV+ running firmware, 4.1.14.
Everything was working fine until I rebooted the switch.

Are you connecting to the NAS via I.P. address or hostname. If you've only tried one of those two can you try connecting to the other?

Oh, I'm not being clear.. I can connect to the ReadyNAS NV+ but it's accessing the folders that give me an access denied message and ask me to provide my credentials. Even providing the admin credentials do not grant me access to the contents of the folder.

Well... It has mysteriously repaired itself for the windows 8.1 machine.. now only the XP machine cannot access the folders.
