Thanks for the feedback. My biggest challenge was I was not getting email errors and did not know about the gmail issue!
I am running 4.2.31. Don't know if this unit will run OS6? It is an Ultra 6 or Ultra 6 Plus.
I am in the process of backuping up what I can, and will replace all the drives once I finish.

Yes, your unit can be configured to run OS6. You do lose all Netgear support if you do that (but not Forum support, of course). You also lose all data, so it has to be backed up and restored. I don't have a handy link to the latest instructions for doing it, though.

Gotcha, so OS6 is not a NetGear OS, more like DD-WRT?

OS 6 is Netgear, and is the official firmware series for all currently shipping ReadyNAS. Netgear doesn't support it on the older Ultra or Pro ReadyNAS, but you can convert your NAS to use it if you know how.

Will the backup still run when the system is in lifesupport mode?

And is there any way I can suspend the rebuild so the backup will finish. Basically the system says the sync is done but the system goes into the lifesupport mode and it doesn't seem the backup continues.
