Remote UPS to other Devices on Network
Hi
I have a Netgear ReadyNas Duo with RAIDiator 4.1.8, with an APC UPS connected
UPS Functionality works great so far, but i want it to shutdown other devices too on my network
I see it already supports this, but i would like to know what software it uses (linux based) so i can insall on my other machines (which are running debian)
Been looking at 'nut', and even came across the following howto:
http://blogging.dragon.org.uk/index.php/mini-howtos/howto-setup-and-install-nut
I would rather understand what port the UPS server is running on my ReadyNas, so i can try and setup the other machines to listen - otherwise i'll have to root and install nut on the ReadyNas
Thanks
Tom

Re: Remote UPS to other Devices on Network
Yes it uses NUT (you can easily verify this by looking at the GPL: http://www.readynas.com/gpl. You may find reading this helpful: Using the ReadyNAS to create a Network UPS for PCs
