[Request] update Rsync binary to 3.1.1 (NV+) Sparc

My ReadyNAS specs [I have two of these units]:

    ReadyNAS NV+ v1 (SPARC)
    RAIDiator firmware: 4.1.13 http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24239
    RAM: 1GB (upgraded from 256MB)
    HD: 2TB (4 each) [X-RAID]
    SSH access: Enabled

I use Rsync extensively in my environment (Mac OS X & Linux); RAIDiator 4.1.13 has the following Rsync binary:

Rsync v3.0.9
protocol: 30
release date: 23 Sept 2011
http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/src/rsync-3.0.9-NEWS

Rsync v3.1.0 has a bug that affected Mac OS X resource fork handling:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10272

.. this bug was fixed in v3.1.1
http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/src/rsync-3.1.1-NEWS

So I am looking to update the Rsync binary on my NV+ to v3.1.1

rsync.samba.org
Rsync v3.1.1
protocol: 31
release date: 23 June 2014

I realize the public beta 4.1.14 [T3] is available
http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=59222

… which addressed the much-needed Time Machine max capacity issue (*thank you!*)

 Is it possible to update the Rsync binary (able to be used by FrontView) via SSH on the ReadyNAS without a firmware update? If someone has a procedure or script to make/compile for the SPARC I would greatly appreciate it.

Otherwise I would like to see a firmware update from the folks at the Jedi Council — don’t know if its too late for 4.1.14 to inherit or not.

*note: Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9.4) has Rsync 2.6.9 installed natively. This can be easily updated to v3.x by following the instructions here:
http://selfsuperinit.com/2014/01/04/an-updated-rsync-3-1-0-for-mavericks/

… and adapting them to v3.1.1 filenames

I personally like to use the same versions of Rsync on source and target.

I would like to extend my personal thanks to the folks who supported the NV+ for THIS LONG! 😄 I realize I may need to upgrade hardware but I have two of these units “maxed out” [1GB ram on both, 4 x 2TB drives on both] and they work very well for what they do.
