Reuse name for Share by damaged volume
ReadyNAS 102: Hi, my HDD with old volume is crashed.
On last times of his live i tried expand volume with new HDD, bud replication repeately failed. I turned off x-raid, make new volume "data2" on new HDD and copied data to new volume. Shares is named with "2" postfix ("Movies" -> "Movies2", "Documents" -> "Documents2"). Now is old HDD definitelly death and i have only one volume. But NAS anywhere has remember old Share names and create new Shares "Movies" is denied. Same problem is with volume name - is not possible to make new volume "data".
Is some possible way to remove this ghosted Shares from NAS memory?

Re: Reuse name for Share by damaged volume
Hi Jakubboucek,
Not sure if your problem is solved by now,but I seem to have the same issue (on an RN104), after removing (Destroying) on of the volumes I can't enter the old share names anymore on a new volume I've added. It looks like the OS remembers them still :-(.
I've opened a case with support, hopefully they can resolve this.
And next to that, I've also lost all my apps, don't see any in Frontview, none installed, but more severely, none available 😞
Cheers,
Ton
