Rn214 not recognizing external usb drive
When I plug my seagate backup plus hub, 8tb, into my ReadyNAS it doesn’t show up on the interface. It’s causing me to transfer all the data over WiFi and so far a couple TB has taken a week. I’ve tried all the USB ports, is there a reason it’s not recognizing it? Is it the size?

That's not a supported format.

So reformat it as one of these (ideally NTFS if you also need to connect it to a PC).

Re: Rn214 not recognizing external usb drive
Yeah, figured that out eventually. I’ve just been using exfat for a few years on externals because it goes from Mac to Windows pretty seamlessly and I run both. Didn’t even imagine it was unsupported. I’ll reformat my backup drives once I backup all the data to the NAS (sometime next month?).
Thanks for your help.
