Rsync Replicate
Is it possible to set up two ReadyNAS's to rysnc over the internet using the replicate.readynas functionality.
I can get backups to work over the LAN or across the internet, however I don't seem to see an option to Rsync it (i.e. only copy changed files). It just seems to want to make a copy backup every night which is a massive transfer of data and wasted space.
Doesn't anybody know how to make any backups between two ReadyNAS systems work on a sync basis over the internet?
Btw I'm using 2 ReadyNAS NV +v2 boxes which have the ARM processor so have a v1.1.3-beta install of the replicate addon as the later version seem to only work on x86 architectures.
Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Rsync Replicate
You can install ReadyNas Replicate Version:1.1.5 from the genie app store for NV+/Duo v2 devices, i think you have to purchase a software licence before you can use it.

Re: Rsync Replicate
Hi Herbio, thanks for you reply, what is the genie app store? is this a netgear marketplace or something?
Also isn't the Duo V2 different to the N+ V2 which is what I have. I beleive i couldn't get 1.1.5 originally because of the architecture.
I currently have a trial license for replicate which I am using until i'm sure it will do the job i want then I will purchase the full one. So far it isn't. Do you know if using the full license and version 1.1.5 that you can run the backup in a only modified files kind of mode? So that is isn't doing a full back up every night?

Yes

The Duo and NV+ v2 are the 2-bay and 4-bay ARM models respectively. Genie Apps for ARM should work on both.

The Genie App for Replicate is free apparently.

Its a bit confusing when you log in to genie.netgear.com it says its free
but when you look here > http://www.netgear-sales.com/business/storage/readynas-replicate/rn00rpl3-10000s.html
it shows you have to buy licence.

Re: Rsync Replicate
It's planned for that SKU to be discontinued as the free Genie App is now available.
